Anti-U5-100KD antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The U5-100KD antigen is another term for the human protein DEAD-box helicase 23, encoded by the DDX23 gene. The protein is known to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing and its phosphorylated form (by SRPK2) is required for spliceosomal B complex formation. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 820 residues and a mass of 95.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The U5-100KD protein is a member of the DEAD box helicase protein family. Other alias names for U5-100KD include PRPF28, SNRNP100, and U5-100K.
