Anti-SDR10E2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SDR10E2 antigen is another term for the human protein fatty acyl-CoA reductase 2, encoded by the FAR2 gene. The protein is known to catalyze the reduction of saturated but not unsaturated C16 or C18 fatty acyl-CoA to fatty alcohols. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 515 residues and a mass of 59.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The SDR10E2 protein is a member of the Fatty acyl-CoA reductase protein family.
