Anti-LYC3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LYC3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SPACA3 gene, which encodes sperm acrosome associated 3. The human version of LYC3 has a canonical amino acid length of 215 residues and a protein mass of 23.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles of cells and notably expressed in the testis. LYC3 is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 22 protein family.
