Anti-PGPR-p117 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PGPR-p117 is a known alias name of the protein SEC16 homolog B, endoplasmic reticulum export factor, encoded by the SEC16B gene in humans. This 1060-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in the organization of the endoplasmic reticulum exit sites (ERES), also known as transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER). It is localized to the ER and Golgi of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
