Anti-Paxneb antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Paxneb is a known alias name of the protein elongator acetyltransferase complex subunit 4, encoded by the ELP4 gene in humans. This 424-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the elongator complex which is required for multiple tRNA modifications, including mcm5U (5-methoxycarbonylmethyl uridine), mcm5s2U (5-methoxycarbonylmethyl-2-thiouridine), and ncm5U (5-carbamoylmethyl uridine). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for Paxneb include AN, AN2, and C11orf19.
