Anti-MINOS2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MINOS2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IMMT gene, which encodes inner membrane mitochondrial protein. This protein is a known component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex of the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays crucial roles in the maintenance of crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and formation of contact sites to the outer membrane. The human version of MINOS2 has a canonical amino acid length of 758 residues and a protein mass of 83.7 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HMP and MICOS60.
