Anti-LGR8.1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LGR8.1 is a known alias name of the protein relaxin family peptide receptor 2, encoded by the RXFP2 gene in humans. This 754-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for relaxin. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain, kidney, muscle, testis, thyroid, uterus, peripheral blood cells and bone marrow.
