Anti-KMT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KMT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CAMKMT gene, which encodes calmodulin-lysine N-methyltransferase. This protein is known to catalyze the trimethylation of 'Lys-116' in calmodulin. The human version of KMT has a canonical amino acid length of 323 residues and a protein mass of 36.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, Golgi, and cytoplasm of cells. KMT is a member of the CLNMT methyltransferase protein family.
