Anti-FOAP-11 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FOAP-11 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the C15orf48 gene, which encodes chromosome 15 open reading frame 48. The human version of FOAP-11 has a canonical amino acid length of 83 residues and a protein mass of 9.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, rectum, duodenum, colon, and appendix. FOAP-11 is a member of the Complex I NDUFA4 subunit protein family.
