Anti-DEPC1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DEPC1 is a known alias name of the protein alkB homolog 3, alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase, encoded by the ALKBH3 gene in humans. This 286-amino acid residue protein is a reported dioxygenase that mediates demethylation of DNA and RNA containing 1-methyladenosine (m1A). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
