Anti-DPP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dipeptidyl peptidase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 737 amino acid residues and a mass of 82.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in placenta. A member of the Peptidase M49 protein family, it is known to be involved with proteolysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include DPP III, dipeptidyl aminopeptidase III, dipeptidyl arylamidase III, dipeptidyl peptidase III, enkephalinase B, and DPPIII.
