Anti-NHE4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NHE4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC9A4 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 9 member A4. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions and potassium ion transport, among other biological roles. The human version of NHE4 has a canonical amino acid length of 798 residues and a protein mass of 89.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, rectum, colon, and appendix. NHE4 is a member of the Monovalent cation:proton antiporter 1 (CPA1) transporter (TC 2.A.36) protein family.
