Anti-COD1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the COD1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RPGR gene, which encodes retinitis pigmentosa GTPase regulator. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly and intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of COD1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1020 residues and a protein mass of 113.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
