Anti-Microtubule associated protein 1B antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MAP1B in humans. The gene may also be known as FUTSCH, MAP5, PPP1R102, and protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 102. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 270.6 kilodaltons in mass. The MAP1B marker can be used to identify Neuro-Medullary Thymic Epithelial Cells.* Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
