Anti-UTP11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein UTP11 small subunit processome component. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 253 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the UTP11 protein family, UTP11 is known to be a part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include CGI94, UTP11L, probable U3 small nucleolar RNA-associated protein 11, U3 snoRNA-associated protein 11, and CGI-94. UTP11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
