Anti-Vesicle associated membrane protein 7 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene VAMP7 in humans. The gene may also be known as SYBL1, TI-VAMP, TIVAMP, VAMP-7, synaptobrevin-like 1, and synaptobrevin-like protein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 24.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
