Anti-MARCHF2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein membrane associated ring-CH-type finger 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 246 amino acid residues and a mass of 27 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, ER, Golgi, lysosomes and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. MARCHF2 is known to be involved with endocytosis and protein ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include MARCH-II, RNF172, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MARCHF2, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MARCH2, RING finger protein 172, and HSPC240. MARCHF2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
