Anti-Myeloid cell nuclear differentiation antigen antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MNDA in humans. The gene may also be known as IFI204, PYHIN3, and epididymis secretory sperm binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 45.8 kilodaltons in mass. The MNDA marker can be used to identify CD8?- Thymic Conventional Dendritic Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, monkey and rat orthologs may also be found.
