Anti-ASAP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ArfGAP with SH3 domain, ankyrin repeat and PH domain 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1006 amino acid residues and a mass of 111.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, golgi, and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in fetal brain, placenta, kidney, monocytes and pancreas. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CENTB3, DDEF2, PAG3, PAP, Pap-alpha, and AMAP2.
