Anti-MAGEA8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MAGE family member A8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 318 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. It is notably expressed in the placenta and testis. MAGEA8 is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include MAGE8, melanoma-associated antigen 8, MAGE-8 antigen, cancer/testis antigen 1.8, cancer/testis antigen family 1, member 8, and CT1.8. Western Blot is the most common application for the MAGEA8 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
