Anti-serine/threonine/tyrosine interacting like 2 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the STYXL2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1158 amino acid residues and a mass of 130.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family, it is believed to be required for myofiber maturation. Other names for this target antigen include dual specificity phosphatase 27 (putative), dual specificity phosphatase 27, atypical, inactive dual specificity phosphatase 27, and serine/threonine/tyrosine-interacting-like protein 2. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
