Anti-EEF1AKMT4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein EEF1A lysine methyltransferase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 255 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.3 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Methyltransferase protein superfamily, EEF1AKMT4 is reported to be a protein-lysine methyltransferase that efficiently catalyzes three successive methylations on 'Lys-36' in eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha (EEF1A1 or EEF1A2). Synonyms for this target antigen include eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha lysine specific methyltransferase 4. EEF1AKMT4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog and chicken species. Indicated applications for EEF1AKMT4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
