Anti-PNMA8B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PNMA family member 8B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 635 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.6 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, bronchus, and adrenal gland. It is a member of the PNMA protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include PNMA-like 2, PNMA-like protein 2, paraneoplastic Ma antigen family like 2, paraneoplastic Ma antigen family member 8B, and paraneoplastic antigen-like protein 8B. PNMA8B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the PNMA8B antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
