Anti-LZTS3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein leucine zipper tumor suppressor family member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 673 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the LZTS3 protein family, Lzts3 is suspected to be involved in promoting the maturation of dendritic spines, probably via regulating SIPA1L1 levels at the postsynaptic density of synapses. Synonyms for this target antigen include leucine zipper putative tumor suppressor 3, ProSAP/Shank-interacting protein 1, leucine zipper, putative tumor suppressor family member 3, and PROSAPIP1. LZTS3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
