Anti-TLCD3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TLC domain containing 3A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 257 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the pancreas. TLCD3A is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 57 member A, membrane protein expressed in epithelial-like lung adenocarcinoma, protein FAM57A, and TLC domain-containing protein 3A. TLCD3A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
