Anti-FHIP1A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FHF complex subunit HOOK interacting protein 1A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1040 amino acid residues and a mass of 116.6 kDa. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and cervix. A member of the FHIP protein family, FHIP1A is a suspected component of the FTS/Hook/FHIP complex (FHF complex). Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 160 member A1, protein FAM160A1, and FTS and Hook-interacting protein like. FHIP1A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
