Anti-TLCD3B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TLC domain containing 3B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 274 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. It is notably expressed in the testis. TLCD3B is known to be involved in ceramide synthesis. The TLCD3B gene has been associated with the disease, Cone-rod dystrophy. Synonyms for this target antigen include TLC domain 3B, TLC domain ceramide synthase 3B, TLC domain-containing protein 3B, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, family with sequence similarity 57 member B, and ceramide synthase. TLCD3B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
