Anti-LAMC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein laminin subunit gamma 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1609 amino acid residues and a mass of 177.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is also secreted. Among its functions, LAMC1 is involved with cell adhesion and cell migration. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include S-LAM gamma, S-laminin subunit gamma, laminin B2 chain, laminin, gamma 1 (formerly LAMB2), laminin-10 subunit gamma, and LAMB2.
