Anti-FHIP1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FHF complex subunit HOOK interacting protein 1B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 972 amino acid residues and a mass of 105.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the FHIP protein family, FHIP1B is a known component of the FTS/Hook/FHIP complex (FHF complex). Synonyms for this target antigen include FTS and Hook-interacting protein and family with sequence similarity 160 member A2. FHIP1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
