Anti-COL20A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein collagen type XX alpha 1 chain. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1284 amino acid residues and a mass of 135.8 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, spleen, testis, ovary, subthalamic nucleus and fetal liver. COL20A1 is a suspected collagen protein. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include collagen, type XX, alpha 1, collagen-like protein, and collagen alpha-1(XX) chain. COL20A1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some COL20A1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
