Anti-CYP2A6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily A member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 494 amino acid residues and a mass of 56.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. It is notably expressed in the liver. A member of the Cytochrome P450 protein family, CYP2A6 is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include CYP2A, CYP2A3, CYPIIA6, P450C2A, P450PB, cytochrome P450 2A6, 1,4-cineole 2-exo-monooxygenase, and CPA6. A number of CYP2A6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
