Anti-SLC35B1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 35 member B1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 322 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the skin, kidney, colon, cerebral cortex, and breast. A member of the Nucleotide-sugar transporter protein family, SLC35B1 is reported to be an ATP:ADP antiporter that catalyzes the exchange of ATP and ADP across the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. Synonyms for this target antigen include UGTREL1, ATP/ADP exchanger ER, ATP/ADP exchanger in the ER membrane, UDP-galactose transporter related, UDP-galactose transporter-related protein 1, and AXER. SLC35B1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for SLC35B1 antibodies.
