Anti-SLC30A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 30 member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 372 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, mitochondria, lysosomes, and cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Cation diffusion facilitator (CDF) transporter (TC 2.A.4) protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include TNZD, ZNT2, ZnT-2, proton-coupled zinc antiporter SLC30A2, solute carrier family 30 (zinc transporter), member 2, and PP12488. SLC30A2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC30A2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
