Anti-IFIT5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interferon induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 482 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the IFIT protein family, it is known to be involved with innate immune responses. Synonyms for this target antigen include P58, interferon-induced 58 kDa protein, retinoic acid- and interferon-inducible 58 kDa protein, retinoic acid- and interferon-inducible protein (58kD), and ISG58.
