Anti-OR7C1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 7 subfamily C member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 320 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR7C1 is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways and spermatogenesis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HSTPCR86P, OR19-5, OR7C4, TPCR86, olfactory receptor 7C1, and CIT-HSP-146E8. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR7C1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
