Anti-OR5A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily A member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 315 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor OR11-249, olfactory receptor, family 5, subfamily A, member 1 pseudogene, and olfactory receptor 5A1. OR5A1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the OR5A1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
