Anti-TCEAL5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transcription elongation factor A like 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 206 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably expressed in the smooth muscle, nasopharynx, fallopian tube, cerebral cortex, and bronchus. A member of the TFS-II protein family, TCEAL5 is suspected to be involved in transcriptional regulation. Synonyms for this target antigen include TCEA-like protein 5, transcription elongation factor A (SII)-like 5, transcription elongation factor S-II protein-like 5, and transcription elongation factor A protein-like 5. TCEAL5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TCEAL5 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
