Anti-OR5T3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily T member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 340 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5T3 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 5T3 and olfactory receptor OR11-178. OR5T3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the OR5T3 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
