Anti-MS4A5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein membrane spanning 4-domains A5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 200 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably expressed at high level in the testis. A member of the MS4A protein family, MS4A5 is suspected to be involved in signal transduction as a component of a multimeric receptor complex. Synonyms for this target antigen include CD20 antigen-like 2, testis-expressed transmembrane protein 4, testis-expressed transmembrane-4 protein, and membrane-spanning 4-domains subfamily A member 5. MS4A5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the MS4A5 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
