Anti-SLC31A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 31 member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 143 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Copper transporter (Ctr) (TC 1.A.56) protein family, SLC31A2 is known to be involved with the transport of ions. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include CTR2, hCTR2, protein SLC31A2, copper transporter 2, and COPT2. SLC31A2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SLC31A2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
