Anti-NIPAL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NIPA like domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 410 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. A member of the NIPA protein family, NIPAL1 is known to act as a Mg(2+) transporter. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include NIPA-like protein 1, non-imprinted in Prader-Willi/Angelman syndrome region protein 3, and magnesium transporter NIPA3. NIPAL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NIPAL1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Flow Cytometry are also common applications.
