Anti-SLC47A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 47 member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 570 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Multi antimicrobial extrusion (MATE) (TC 2.A.66.1) protein family, SLC47A1 is known to be involved with the transport of ions and transmembrane transport. The SLC47A1 marker can be used to identify Hippocampal Gyrus CA4 Neurons and Hippocampal Dentate Gyrus Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include multidrug and toxin extrusion protein 1, MATE-1, hMATE-1, multidrug and toxin extrusion 1, solute carrier family 47 (multidrug and toxin extrusion), member 1, and MATE1. SLC47A1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species.
