Anti-SLC25A16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 332 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family, SLC25A16 is known to be required for the accumulation of coenzyme A in the mitochondrial matrix. Synonyms for this target antigen include GDA, GDC, HGT.1, ML7, hML7, and D10S105E. SLC25A16 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These SLC25A16 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
