Anti-Insulin like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IGF2BP2 in humans. The gene may also be known as IMP-2, IMP2, VICKZ2, IGF-II mRNA-binding protein 2, and IGF2 mRNA-binding protein 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 66.1 kilodaltons in mass. The IGF2BP2 marker can be used to identify Cerebellar Inhibitory Neurons.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
