Anti-triple QxxK/R motif containing antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TRIQK gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 86 amino acid residues and a mass of 9.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. A member of the TRIQK protein family, it is believed to play a role in cell growth and maintenance of cell morphology. Other names for this target antigen include protein TRIQK, triple repetitive-sequence of QXXK/R protein homolog, and triple QxxK/R motif-containing protein. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
