I use this antibody to identify L1CAM+ CD45- cells (bright) as well as L1CAM+ CD45+ immune cells (dim) in mouse lymph nodes via flow cytometry.

Results Summary

This product helps me find L1CAM+ cells in the CD45- compartment and in the CD45+ immune cell compartment. It is easy to use to identify L1CAM+ CD45- cells as they are bright (see attached picture, parent is CD45-), but you need an FMO to identify L1CAM+ CD45+ cells.

Summary

The Good

Good separation in CD45- compartment.

The Bad

Poor separation in CD45+ compartment.

The Bottom Line

Overall, this antibody is still helpful in identifying L1CAM+ cells in mouse lymph nodes by flow cytometry. But, if you are looking for L1CAM+ immune cells, consider including an FMO sample for gating purposes.
