Results Summary

2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining is a commonly used method to determine the volume of cerebral infarction in experimental stroke models.TTC is a colorless water-soluble dye that is reduced by the mitochondrial enzyme succinate dehydrogenase of living cells into a water-insoluble, light-sensitive compound (formazan) that turns healthy/normal tissue deep red.
