We use the Anti-GFAP chicken primary antibody from Aves Labs in several applications: immunofluorescence, immunocytochemistry, and combined immunohistochemistry with in situ hybridization. While the species reactivity is broad (human, mouse, non-human primate, and rat), we tested this anti-GFAP antibody with mouse and human samples only.

Results Summary

We use this antibody to visualize astrocytes for subsequent morphological assessments of brain astrocytes. Only minimal background staining has been detected. The antibody works excellently over a broad range of dilutions, from 1:1000 to 1:500.
