Our group is developing personalized antibody-based treatments for IgA nephropathy. As such, we need specific markers for IgAN, to measure our treatment efficiency.

Results Summary

We couple this antibody with Alx-647 to avoid using a secondary antibody for staining. The dilution of the primary incubation refers to the concertation of the antibody after coupling (resulted in 84ug/ml). The separation of the IgAN population was good, although there seemed to be some minor unspecific binding (first guess would be to regular IgA, but we didn't investigate further).

Summary

The Good

Stains IgAN well with a strong signal.

The Bad

Expensive and may cross-react lightly with IgA.

The Bottom Line

An antibody with a strong signal that allowed us to easily separate the CRISPR knockout population (C1GALT-KO) in an ebv transformed IgA cell line.
