Cells from the human cell line were exposed to a cell growth factor, and cell extract was prepared. The extracted protein was quantified by using a BCA reagent, and an equal amount of proteins from control and growth factor treated cells were examined for Angiopoietin 1 protein levels. For this, cell protein was resolved using SDS-PAGE and western transferred. The transferred proteins were probed for Angiopoietin 1 protein using the Angiopoietin 1 antibody obtained from Abcam. The selection of antibodies was based on information and pictures provided in the antibody flyer.

Angiopoietin 1 antibody has detected a very specific single band of Angiopoietin 1 protein at the desired molecular weight. The best thing was not a single non-specific band of Angiopoietin 1 was detected by this antibody.
